Hurricane season started as of 1St of June. Considerations are Important When buying a home in Florida Keys 305-395-0814
Hurricane considerations are obviously important, and often customers will ask this question. How many have hit either side of the Islands?
With regard to customer's question relative to Hurricanes and their frequency, the only thing I can tell the customer who loves Florida Keys and has the concern about Hurricanes, is that it has been about ten (10) years since we have experienced one. They are always a concern here, as they are everywhere in Florida and up the eastern seaboard of the United States.
Meteorologists believe them to be cyclical, like sunspots. Last year Dr. John Gray and the National Hurricane Center predicted a very active season and as it turned out it was one of the quietest seasons on record. So they are anomalous in nature and they occur.
While I, as a real estate agent, Realtor, in Florida Keys, have not given myself over to the study of the pattern of these storms and their proximate locations to the peninsula of Florida at large, it is my belief that the panhandle of Florida is more likely to experience a Hurricane than the Florida Keys.
Furthermore, Still no one knows for sure where and when Hurricanes will occur and sooner or later we will experience a storm. They are part of history and the history of the Florida Keys. I hope this helps answer your question and moderates your concerns.
